GRIDFRAME DESIGN FACTORYは、空間の創造におけるすべてのプロセスを、自らの手でつくりあげる〈デザインビルダー集団〉です

GRIDFRAME DESIGN FACTORYは、1998年の設立以来、商業・ 住宅・オフィス等の空間及び家具や什器等の制作を、自社でカスタムメイドでつくるシステムを構築し、現在まで500以上のプロジェクトを手掛けてきました。建築やアートを学んだメンバーが、それぞれの創造力を生かし、唯一無二のものづくり、空間づくりを行います。

GRIDFRAME DESIGN FACTORY is a design builder group that creates all processes of space creation with their own hands.

Since its establishment in 1998, GRIDFRAME DESIGN FACTORY has built an in-house custom-made system for creating commercial, residential, and office spaces as well as furniture and fixtures, and has worked on over 500 projects to date. Members who have studied architecture and art utilize their creativity to create one-of-a-kind products and spaces.

ー記憶を引き継ぐ循環ー

「素材採取→材料化→カタチ化→空間化」のすべてのプロセスを自社内でおこないます

1998年、創業当時からの願いである時間を記憶した素材を空間づくりの素材として使用することを近年システム化し、素材採取のために全国を訪れています。

素材の採取からはじまり、加工することで材料となり、やっとモノづくりを始めることができる。そうしてできたものを用いて空間を創造する．．．

これらすべてのプロセスを、GRIDFRAME　DESIGN FACTORY のつくり手たちによってつくりあげてきました。

やがて新しい空間にも時間が記憶されてゆき、いつかまた、そこから素材が採取され次のプロセスへと、このサイクルが循環を繰り返していきます。

この循環のカタチをとることで、近年急速に進む建材のカタログ化に反旗を翻しつづけています。

Since our founding in 1998, we have recently systematized the use of materials that remember time as materials for creating spaces, and have been towing trailers all over the country.

ーどんな素材でもカタチでもつくる自信がありますー

自社工場では、美術大学や建築学科出身のアーティストたちが、鉄を中心とした非鉄金属、木材、コンクリート、ガラス、皮革などあらゆる素材を使用して、あらゆるカタチを制作します

鉄や非鉄金属（アルミ、真鍮、銅）だけでなく、木材、コンクリート、ガラス、皮革などあらゆる素材を駆使したものづくりが可能です

什器や家具だけでなく、装飾金物、ドア、階段、ロフト、手摺や門扉、照明などの1点ものから、量産品のプロトタイプの製作などが得意です。

At our own factory, artists from art universities and architecture departments create all kinds of shapes using all kinds of materials, including iron and other non-ferrous metals, wood, concrete, glass, and leather.

We can manufacture products using not only iron and non-ferrous metals (aluminum, brass, copper), but also wood, concrete, glass, leather, and other materials.

We specialize in not only fixtures and furniture, but also decorative hardware, doors, stairs, lofts, handrails, gates, lighting, and other one-off items as well as mass-produced prototypes.

ーものづくりを通して、“一回性を生きる”ー

一回性に向き合うからこそ、共に成長し、新しい風景が見えてくると信じています

疑似素材が氾濫し、再現性を大切にする社会に囲まれ、共感を強いられるコミュニティに属して生活する．．．

人々の輪郭を急速にぼやけさせる現代社会の中で、私たちは“一回性”が人間性の回復に重要だと考えています。

わたしたちは、自然の恵みを享受した本物の素材を用い、時にはより個性のある素材を好み、時には伝統的な仕上、時には最新の工法など、時空を横断しながらものづくりの一回性に向き合っています。

Surrounded by a flood of pseudo-materials, a society that values reproducibility, and living in a community in which we are forced to empathize. ．． ．．

In today’s society, where the contours of people’s identity rapidly blurring, we believe that “living in one-time-only ” is important for restoring humanity.

ー自分を持て余す日常から自由になるには、「想定外」に出会い、それに向き合うことー

わたしたちは、モノや空間が人間に与える力を信じています。そして、モノづくりや空間デザインで社会の課題を解決できる、またはその糸口を見つけられると信じています。

会社設立のきっかけとなった、スクラップヤードに身を置いた時の何とも言えない解放感。巷にあった時の相対的価値を失い、重さで量られるだけの存在となったさまざまなスクラップが積み重なる山に埋もれ、感じた自由。一つ一つに向き合い、研ぎ澄まされる心性。むしろこのような空間こそが、誰が入ってきてもおかしくない空間だと知りました。

社会からはみ出してしまう人すら、受け入れて共存できる空間はつくることができるのです。

また、空間にできることは、人を「癒す」ことだけではありません。「想定外」のモノは人を「奮い立たせる」力を持っています。

「想定外」に出会うことで、生命力に溢れる自由な空間をつくりたいと願って、わたしたちはこれからも試行錯誤を続けていきます。

We believe in the power that objects and spaces have on humans. We believe that we can solve social issues or find clues to them through manufacturing and spatial design.

It was the indescribable sense of freedom I felt when I placed myself in a scrapyard that led to the establishment of the company. The freedom I felt when I was buried in a pile of various scraps that had lost their relative value when they were on the street and were now merely measured by weight. A mindset that is sharpened by facing each issue one by one. In fact, I learned that this kind of space is the kind of space where anyone can enter.
It is possible to create a space where even people who are left out of society can be accepted and coexist.

Furthermore, what space can do is not only “heal” people. “Unexpected” things have the power to “inspire” people.

We will continue to experiment with trial and error, hoping to create a free space full of vitality by encountering the “unexpected.”
