ぼくらには創業当時からある一つの願いが
ありました。
日常の中で道を歩く途中、
さまざまな古い壁や塀に
さまざまな時間の記憶を発見しては、
それらを空間づくりの素材として使用する
ことを夢見ていたのです。
素材採取からはじまり、材料化、モノ化、
そして空間化。
そこからまた素材採取へ…
このような循環のカタチをとることで、
急速に進む建材のカタログ化に
ぼくらは反旗を翻しつづけています。
We perform all processes in-house:
“Material collection → Materialization → Formation → Spatialization”
We’ve had one wish since our founding.
Our dream was to discover memories of different times
in the various old walls and fences we encounter
while walking down the street every day,
and use them as materials to create spaces.
We start by collecting materials, then turn them
into materials, objects,and then create spaces.
From there, we return to collecting materials…
By adopting this cycle,

創業から20年後にたどり着いた手法を
SOTOCHIKU(ソトチク)という。
Searching for Japan’s Lost Essence
GRIDFRAME has always aimed to incorporate the unexpected into spaces so that humans can remain human. 20 years after its founding, the company has arrived at a method called sotochiku.

プロセスに重点をおくということ
スタッフ全員がデザイナーであり、かつ、手を動かすつくり手でもある、デザインビルダー集団です。そんなスタッフたちが自ら考え、それぞれの力を発揮するつくるからこそGF独自の創造的な空間づくりのシステムが成立します。
We are a group of design builders, with all of our staff being designers and creators with their hands. GF’s unique and creative space-making system is possible because these staff members think for themselves and use their individual strengths to create.

シネスは、限りある生が輝くために
豊かな空間は贅沢な空間ではありません。
それぞれの人の心に届き、
心の中でいろいろな感情を呼び覚ます…
私たちのつくる空間が、人々の”生きている”と
感じられる瞬間の一部になりたい。
A rich space is not just a luxurious space. It reaches each person’s heart and evokes various emotions within… We want the spaces we create to be a part of the moments when people feel “alive.”

「創造性の連鎖」の実践
プロジェクトの始まりから終わりまで、スタッフ一人ひとりの試行錯誤が連続していくのが｢創造性の連鎖」なのです。
こうしてGFが理想とする、
完成度80％の空間をつくっています。
From the beginning to the end of a project, each staff member goes through a continuous process of trial and error, creating a “chain of creativity.” This is how GF creates its ideal space, which is 80% complete.
